We inherited this lamp from my husband's family. His great uncle used to own it. There are old black and white photos of his uncle's house with this lamp (from around the 50s). The sockets say Hubbell and other than that I do not see any markings. I would like to know more about it.
Thank you!
Thank you! I googled Hubbell lamps and mostly found information and pictures of the sockets. Did Hubbell actually manufacture these lamps also?
check Chicago Mosaic Lamp Co.
this Hubbell link may help date the socket fixture:

THANK YOU! I believe that you are correct with the Chicago Mosaic Lamp Co as I believe my husband's great aunt originated from Chicago. After looking at the socket I believe it is a HARVEY HUBBELL INC (1903 SOCKET SHELL). It is marked HARVEY HUBBELL INC with the four patent dates listed (Aug.11.96, May 8.00, July 30.01, Feby.18.02). It also has a Mica center with flat tip screw. HUBBELL is embossed under the chain guide. And the acorns look like those in the picture.
you're welcome; happy to help. It is a beautiful lamp and I'm sure a treasured family heirloom. The tree motif in the shade seems quite unique and displays beautifully with the tree trunk base.
Chicago Mosaic...Great base...
Beautiful Lamp!!
