Hi everyone. I needed to get this one in before bed. Found this today at the thrift. I was basically the first person in, so I had first pickings. This is the result. I have no idea what it is, it is certainly interesting. It looks like pewter? Or maybe silver plate? Anyway, it does not attract a magnet. The only marking I can make out is the "DC" in the last image. That stamp is on each of the leopards bottoms. There are three flathead screws on the inside of the ring securing each cat. Something is tell me this is a "fix" and that the screws are not original.
If anyone has a clue please comment. This is quite heavy and about 8 inches across and maybe 4 inches tall. Thanks!
I mean....what could this strange thing be?
Would this not be to hold a tea/coffee urn with a "tea light" under it ?
