Today I found myself at an estate sale in the "old part of town". Anytime I see something for sale in Historical Old Bridge I am usually there. They did have a lot of great stuff. However, I think I made some serious beginner mistakes today. I let my emotions get the best of me, and I think I ended up paying too much for things that are not so great.
Here is one of the items I found. If anyone could help me that would be great. When I first looked at it I swore it was a keeper. Now......I take a closer look and I am not so sure. Please be nice..... :(
I see similar items when I type in Chinese necklaces plates. Thanks!
anyone know if this worth pursuing? I do not know. Thanks!
This is very typical of Asian or tribal necklaces..and sometimes they made this with low grade silver. Its nice...but not very saleable these days...chunky and heavy.
although this might not be high end juwellery not everyone could (can) afford to buy some. what i try to say is on this piece there was stil someone working with the means available and certainly added charme to it ,not very rich moneywise what seems to be a goal in many artforms but it adds good feeling and that is in my opinion an underestimated goal way to go bhock45!!! thanks for sharing
thanks moonstone and artislove, I keep looking at this piece trying to learn more but I have no idea where to start. Thanks!!!
