Metlox Poppy Trail " Tropicana " Fish Motif / 3 Legged 8" Bowl 22/24 kt. Gold Accents

This neat little 3 legged bowl kind of reminded me of my Charles Murphy "Redwing" bowl. The matte glaze and the way the feet are laid out sure remind me of Redwing pottery. I don't know if they made anything this whimsical but it is similar looking.(Note :) Just found out it's not Redwing. It is actually my old friend Metlox pottery. Even though it's not marked it probably had a paper or foil label. It's their 50's Poppy Trail line called "Tropicana" . I've seen ashtrays and larger bowls with the same pattern but not this exact one. They're selling for 40 - 100 plus dollars. I paid 50 cents for this 8" bowl and the gold really isn't all that worn either ! -Mike-
