This model lamp had 3 types the more uncommon ones had a little nob on the base kind of like a fake oil hole. Its still a neat old piece I may be interested

I have this lamp with its Original Box, Warranty Slip, and Manuals.
Its a Lava Lite that I believe was made in the late 60s early 70s. The lava lantern is made by Lava-Simplex.

you probably found out by now that this was one of the mathmos styles the only difference with your is the lid there is still a picture on the mathmos site but the one we had was orange and have been looking for a long time it gave me and my brother endless hours of amusement when we were kids ( how easily we were pleased) until we had a bright idea of trying to see the how it worked and tried to put the metal slinky looking bit back in, thing was i dont no how my mother new and we had the cheek to say we didnt do it anyway hope you enjoy it, it had green felt on the bottom.
