I have this plate & have no idea who manufactured it or how old it is. It looks really old so I am interested in learning some history about it. I'm NOT looking to get any appraisal info here...just was hoping that someone may be able to help identify this plate. It is really unique compared to everything I have come across trying to find anything that looks in any way similar. So if you know, or can point me in the right direction...PLEASE HELP!!! :-)

    Thanks!

It is a MacBeth-Evans piece from late 1930's to 1942, in their Chinex Classic pattern. Besides the castle decoration they also had a floral decorated and plain version. The Castle decoration is the hardest to find. They made 4 different sizes of plates: 6.25" bread&butter, 9.25" and 9.75" dinner and a 11.5" salver. There are also bowls (6 sizes) a butter dish (the lids are very hard to find) a cigarette holder, cream and sugar, a lamp, an urn planter, cup and saucer and a sherbet.
