i looked this up on the internet and still couldn't figure out what this is used for nor how it is supposed to be used. it's very small. cool box and the tool looks cool too - whatever it is. this is a cool one to add to the rest of my jack collection. this is definitely the tiniest one i have now. my largest is a very cool-looking train jack.

thanks pw-collector. i saw that one, and kind of understand what it is, but not really. i guess i have to see it being used to get it.
OH...I thought you used it to repair doll house foundations!
Page 913, figure 28, shows leveling work on a steel planer in a machine shop.

pw-collector, the link only goes to page 578? is there a way i can get to pg 913?
thanks!
I get up to 1265 plus when clicking on the link.
Copy & paste the link if it still doesn't work.
A friend of mine who is a retired machinist, says they used these all the time in his shop.
Dave
that's so strange! i just copied and posted and still get only to pg 578. maybe someone else can try it?
If you are typing in a number instead of scrolling through the pages, try typing in 376 and it should give you a page GAGE BLOCKS..........913. Bottom of page is Fig. 28 - Leveling Work With Planer Jacks.
Dave
i'm scrolling down and it ends at page 578. i'll see if i can't type something in somewhere.
d'oh! i finally figured it out. thanks for the help dave! [and the patience!]
