Ashtrays can be fun to collect especially when they are this awsome. I love the shapes, colors and retro styling of a lot of these pieces. I never pass one up when I see a great example of 60's style ! -Mike-

I've got your Roseville vase and your cat..bwahaaa ! LOL. Her name is Juliet. I saw her huddled on the side of the road 3 years ago, She had been clipped by a school bus and had a torn tendon in her back leg and an awful respiratory infection. Thank God the local humane society picked up most of her medical bills. As long as I promised to keep her and pay a small portion of the bill. She was one expensive cat ! Not even sure how old she is. I thought she was young but the vet said no. Maybe several years old. She has a broken tail but not from the bus incident the vet said it probably happened when she was a kitten. She's a little fatty now and spoiled rotten !

Thank you for saving her. There's an auction this weekend with probably 50 pieces of Roseville and 50 Weller. There is another one that I was going to that has some REALLY rare Shawnee pieces so I am torn. Maybe send hubby to one and I'll go to other. Love a good pottery auction.

That's my problem I save anything and everything . Animal, vegetable, or mineral....lol. Sounds like you are about to expand your collection. I have one Weller piece I bought back in high school in 197.... I'll take Eyes stance on the age thing lol. It's a Cameo Rose hanging basket in blue. It's not marked anywhere on the piece, but there's no mistaking what it is .

Mine had disappeared for years. I found it way in the back of the cupboard over the frig. Must have put it there for safe keeping after we moved . I was rummaging around looking for some of my grandmothers things an there it was. I was so happy and it was still in perfect condition.
