I have no idea other than that it has the Derby Silver Company Quadruple Plate stamp on the bottom but other than that nothing. Anyone know what it is water pitcher or coffee pot what set if there was a set and what value it has?
Thank you

lovely coffee pot!!!!
The piece is a water pitcher. Shoud have a porcelain lined interior. It dates Ca 1880's. Derby became part of International Silver in 1898. A lot of these were tilt pitchers that came on stands with a glass that would sit in front. I don't see any holders on the side so it appears it was a stand alone pitcher. It appears the plating is still in excellent condition as I can see the rainbow blue coloring on the plate. It also appears the finial is bent. As to value, it is basically worth what someone will pay for the item when it sells. But for maximum value, it would take a straight finial which may be easy to fix. A complete piece of porcelain for the lining and little to no wear in the silver plate. Some of these did come without a lining and the interior at that time may also effect the value such as holes in the inner lining.
