I got this at auction. It clearly is marked WH Grindley "Atlas" It does look just like this, more purple than blue. Found this link, but the color is not the same... any ideas? http://www.blueandwhite.com/museum.asp?m=Grindley&p=Atlas/

Post the link in the comments box. What is you question?
A lot of English makers did the same pattern in various colours, blue, red , burgundy and green being the most common, maybe your purple is a rare piece.

I know the maker, the approximate age, and the pattern...but the color? I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it, or if the blue can sometimes fade to look more purple like this. RARE? Wouldn't that be cool for a $5 vase :) http://www.blueandwhite.com/museum.asp?m=Grindley&p=Atlas/

I doubt if the color would have changed , but you might get more info on it from a Staffordshire pottery or Grindley collectors society. I checked replacements.com but they didn't have that colour listed.
