Hello I found this and a handful of jewelry. This watch is 1 1/4" arround. The only markings is on the inside I hand dru it in the pics just in case u can't see it in the pics. I found the maker was New England Watch Co. of Waterbury, CT but can't find the model or if its of any value. Does anyone know?
The thing with watches is that there are a hundred billion trillion different watch-makers and watch models. Its VERRRRRY difficult to identify them unless its a common one or you're a museum curator.
Also, 20 years means that its not solid gold. Its actually a thicker layer than rolled-gold though, quite thick, the case has scrap value if the watch doesn't end up having any
Usually people selling watches don't both with models or makers, since there were just sooooooo many. It would only make a difference in the value if it were a very high-end maker, and in that case you'd be able to find it online
This is an inexpensive duplex escapement movement by the New England Watch Co. 1898 - 1914. Formerly the Waterbury Watch Co. Some collectors consider this a dollar watch company, although the N.E.W. Co. did manufacture some 7 - 17 jeweled lever escapement watches. Yours appears to be an unmarked duplex movement. I do like the case & dial in your other post of this watch. I'm also fond of inexpensive dollar watches.

Awesome thanks for the input. I believe it was a wrist watch. Had clasp on the sides.
