This type of small gold watches is typical for the fifties and sixties. War was finally over and people could afford some luxury. Husbands bought these small golden watches for their wifes in great quantity. This is one of the jewelry pieces every wife had (together with a golden bow brooch, a gold bracelet, a pearl necklace, pearl earrings and a gold cameo pendant). Those really were the golden days!
Today, these watches are only worth their gold content. Unless they were made by a famous factory, which these are not. Thats why I think these fit into the jewelry category. The first one I bought for 5 euro's!!! The second one belonged to my grandmother. They are both 18 karat gold and in working condition.
Hope you enjoy them.
