Original "Virgil World Famous Magician" Lithograph Poster

This is an original Virgil lithograph from my private collection of Magic posters. It measures approximately 14" x 30" and is in "A" condition!
Ca. 1953

This poster was printed by W.E. Smith Limited in Sydney and advertises Virgil's Magic performance with Julie "America's Sweetheart of Magic". Virgil and Julie toured America starting in 1933 with an illusion show weighing over 33 tons and an entourage of 50 people. Together they also toured the world, visiting Australia from 1953 to 1954.

This panel sized poster is a great example of advertising the variety of illusions that a specific Magician would perform in their show, in hopes of drawing in audiences to fill the house......You have to love the "Weird Execution on Mars" illusion!
