This is a stunning ..and the pictures do not do this Antique Opal justice. The Opal fires Royal blue-Sharp Green-Red. I have rarely seen an Opal with this much fire! The fire off the Opal can be seen from across a room. I am thinking of taking it out of the setting and making it into a pendant along with an Antique loose Diamond I have...what do you think? This measures 16.5mm x 9mm x 4.5mm high. This is set into solid 18ct rose gold. The back of the Opal is open..and its not a doublet...or enhanced in anyway. The fire of the Opal is across the top and sides too....
very Nice, :-)

are you kidding?!?!? Obviously not.....AMAZING!!!!!!
BHock45, thank you for your comment! I love this Opal...and its one of the nicest I have ever seen. What do you think of resetting it into a pendant?

Keep this beauty away from me! I'd borrow it and CRACK!
Happy Mothers Day!!!
I would love to see your gorgeous opal as a pendant . I am not much for rings . You collections is beautiful !
AmberRose, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY XOXOXOXO my friend :)))
JayHow, its definitely Antique! The Opal is for sure Not newer. I took it to the Store and they said it was gem quality Black Opal. I have Ethiopian Opals which I will post to show you the difference. I will reset into a pendant....see what happens next :))))
I think, whatever you choose to do with it is fantastic. A pendent would be great.
opals are sooooo mysterious......! this one is at least triple mysterious!!xo
artislove, I think so too...and love collecting them...xoxoxoxo
my guess is that this is a Lightning Ridge opal - by the color. I'm not an expert, but i've bought and found a few opals in my lifetime and when i was 16, i dug a few at Coober Pedy in South Australia. Australian Opals for the most part are the highest grade opals in the world. Ones i've seen from other places don't even compare to them. This is a beauty!
my uncle collected quite a few and he had this table made w/ a long seam of first grade Lightning Ridge Opal - which was amazing! i'd love to get a photo of it.
I love the pendant idea - but then I am not really a ring person - have many but wear few!
antiquarius123, you are right..rings are too common ....xoxoxoxo
