    Based on birth and death records I'm thinking this is post civil war before the 1900's. Is it really milk glass and should I use denture tablets to clean it?

      Yeah its milk glass. Milk glass is basically white glass, its not like a special brand or anything. Looks like an older piece too. Denture tabs usually work for me on things like this

      The pattern is "Roman Cross" by Challinor, Taylor & Co. c. 1890s. Does look like an EAPG honey dish to me but is listed at this link as a covered butter:

      Big help, thanks again. My grandmother's notes list it as a butter dish as well.
