This is the first time I have ever bought legitimate old Barbies.
I used to think that they were created on whatever day was stamped on the back.
The 1966 one is a mystery, anyone know which one this is?
The 1968 one is Midge.
Ron
Both are Barbie's . They used the Midge Barbie logo stamped on butt on both dolls . 1962, new markings of Midge and Barbie. Marking: Midge T. M. © 1962 Barbie ® © 1958 by Mattel, Inc.
First one could be a "Swirl" Ponytail doll
(1964-1965)
2nd is a Twist and Turn Barbie
Ron It is a swirl ponytail the first one . On Barbie's you need to check knee's to see if they bend and should click . It is something collectors want to know also any green by ears ,chewed fingers, ect .Nice find !!!!!
The one that says Midge on her backside says she is 1968
The other has no name and says 1966
There is light green behind the ears of the 1966 one. Can I ask qhere that comes from?
Ron they didn't change date on butts every year , so that date is not really mean 1968 ,The The green ears came from the earrings they had in when sold that reacted with Barbies and turned ears green on some and should be removed if ear has not turned green yet . There are barbie collectors a few that have found a way to clear green ear but it is difficult and it may or may not come out . Which doll is marked Barbie Midge the 1st or 2nd one ?????????? Neither doll are Midge . I can't see third dolls face .
Sorry my keys were sticking so excuse typing It should say the date 1968 does not mean that is year she was produced . Post a photo of the 1966 butt markings and tell me which one she is ok
