Silver costs 576.45 €/kg on the moment. So yes you did well.
I never look at the silver price when I buy jewelry. I just make sure I never overpay.
But I think if you buy silver or gold for investment reasons, it is far more easy to resell coins or bars.

I like old Mexican sterling the most! You are probably right, but I love searchin auctions etc. for all kinds of things!!
