Please help identify: American of Martinsville Table

I found this little table by American of Martinsville, which someone had unfortunately painted over with latex paint. It's a somewhat odd size (20 inches tall x 23 inches wide x 28 inches deep) and has one drawer on the front. The top is satinwood (I believe?) and was left as it originally came and the base appears to have originally been an ebony lacquer, the legs are square taper with spade feet and there's a brass drawer pull. I'm trying to restore it to its original form now. Would anyone happen to be able to identify what line it was from? The production stamp (on bottom side of drawer) reads "1290-1" but this seems to be of little informative value. After peeling off some of the paint you can see the original finish underneath. Also, would anyone know a safe way to remove the latex paint without damaging the underlying finish? Luckily, it's not been painted well and they failed to either sand or prime beforehand so the paint is very loose in most places and I was able to simply peel off a portion of it by hand. The top has some very minor scratches which I was considering simply sanding lightly and re-lacquering as I don't know much about striping and reconditioning satinwood- how easily is it damaged? I found an example of a satinwood table top which had been conditioned and it look beautiful- I'd like to condition this as well, ideally. Any help would be appreciated- after hours of online research I'm coming up with few answers.
