This is a wonderful sterling brooch composed of two art nouveau pins joined by a pair of chains that dangle down between the pins. The pins are marked sterling, and have a rolling c closure. Each pin is about an inch wide, and there are about 4 inches of chain between the two pins.

Very pretty. I think these could be considered to be variations of the sweater clip/guard. I believe there are sweater pins where pins are used in place of the clips or alligator clips.
