A tiny treasure, this glass brooch is only one inch wide but it looks like it is worth a million bucks. The jellybean glass opal has tremendous depth and is surrounded by a row of white rhinestones and then another of pink rhinestones. The rhinestones are well cut, prong set and very light catching - maybe Austrian crystals. The back of the brooch shows that it was fairly crudely made by hand, and close inspection of the rhinestone settings shows variation. Despite its flaws, the effect it creates is very good, and I wear it often. I estimate that it is from about 1930.
Thanks Bellin for your attention and loves on all my postings tonight:-) Thanks musikchoo for the appreciation!
