I really don't like this necklace.
I have never worn it and I never will. I just can't seem to let it go either.
Its gold with sterling silver underneath and it has some pearls. I believe you call that rice pearls?
I'm sure it was made in the eighties. I still remember everyone wearing this kind of jewelry when I was a child. Maybe I'm getting old but I just cant see the charm of 80's jewelry. (I do love 70's jewelry though) :-)
I think I only keep it because its good quality and I like the materials.
The vermeil plaque is also the lock.
So, what do you think about this sort of jewelry?
Hi, I like pearls. This are sweet water rice pearls. I believe you already tested for real pearl be rubbing them along your teeth? Pearls are now not in fashion, or the must be large seized. But they will return in fashion I'm sure so let them be were they are.
Dag Marga, indeed I tested them with my teeth and they are real. You are right they will return in fashion one day. I do have some nice pearl strings that I like but they are not my favorite type of jewelry.
