Love the base, you can study how it was made...A few things added to the speculation that this was not Kralik. the base shows how the vertical flames don't meet or cross... also the thickness in the glass, much like your aqua red marbled pieces

      Thanks everybody for the loves!

Jericho...you are thinking it may not be Kralik?

Yes-- this one is amazing as well!

Great vase but I'm not sure that it's Kralik either, sorry.

Pretend to be surprised and confused all you want, that's fine. The truth is that you were made fully aware of this issue long ago.

A non-answer for a distorted question seems reasonable to me.
    8. charcoal charcoal, 11 years ago
You pretending that this is a new observation is distorting facts in my opinion.

I looked at the link and don't see a "link" to the posted vase!

Seems like a reasonable question-- but of course reasonable questions have caused others to run as well.

Yes Scott, It may seem like a reasonable question to someone like yourself who's completely unaware of previous private conversations on this topic.

      I am confused!

11 days ago you threw out the whole body of empirical research:

"Unfortunately, I don't believe this research (empirical) works because we are finding many Bohemian glass companies produced the same thing."

      http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/115930-bohemian-export-glass-from-harrach-and-w

So WHY are you making empirical observations when YOU state they don't work?

Also, I would add that there is a difference between SIMILAR and the SAME.

It is my understanding that empirical research works well within the same shape. It is when it is used to jump from a documented shape to an undocumented shape that it is susceptible to error.

So it is your position that SHAPES can be compared to lead to attributions, but that DECORS cannot?

      That's not what I said.

KS85, The yellow one? No wonder there is confusion! I'm referring to the red ball vase with two black handles.
    16. charcoal charcoal, 11 years ago
Did you think I was referring to the yellow vase too? Sorry if that was unclear at first.
