My Mother gave these to me when I first got married in 83. They sat in our china cabinet for as long as I can remember. She got them while on a trip with her mother I believe before I was born, but not really sure. Hard to find information about them. I know they were part of some promotion. There are six or eight mugs, been so long since I took them off the shelf, I've forgotten.

I have a mug a lot like this! except it is white glass and there is a playing card on it. everything else is the same....brass bands, wood handle.

I just saw a ton of these style mugs at thrifty store with various things written on them. Apparently they were popular 20-30 years ago.

      do you collect texaco?

I know for sure they came together. My Mother and her Mother picked them up on a cross country trip many moons ago. It was some sort of add thing, fill up, get a mug and after so many you get the pitcher. Sorry Smitty, I don't collect, I just kept these as a memory for Mama and Granny.
