Large Oversized "Kodak Camera, Instamadic 104. Store Display.
I'm sure some of you will remember the, Old Photo Booths. You know, they looked like a Glass Telephone Booth that you enter and shut the door. BUT, They were a little larger. One worker could work in it at a time and you'd drop your film off and it had a Drive up window. Well it was the Display above their head's. It has a working 4 sided Flash bulb that rotates and Flashes. It works great. Only seen one other, it was a Blue Instamadic and bulb didn't rotate. That one was Rough, too be kind and it went for $1,600 smackers on eBay. Why so much?? It a Very Cool conversation starter!
Still only seen one other, blue and the flash mechanisms was not working!????????????
I have one. Almost exactly like the one in the pictures.
They seem to be quite rare. Yours is the third one I've seen. Mine looks nice and the mechanism works. The "flash cube" rotates and the bulb lights up but I have replace the "flash" microswitch.
I had one when I was a child. The bank was giving away a camera as a vacation club promotion, and they had this in the lobby as a display. I told the manager that it was the best camera I ever saw! He told my Mom if I would come back at the end of the month I could (with her permission) have it. So I did :)

Cool Hockeyfan. I've only seen two! One was on EBay, it was Blue and a newer model, than ours. It had 2,000 or Best offer. It's flash did rotate anymore, but, it would lite up. Not in the Best shape. It bought 1,600+. Crazy right? Do you know where it came from? They were in the top of the old photo booths, (they looked like a large Glass TelephoneBooth) where dropped off your film in the day. You have any idea where yours came from? Or that's where mine came from. Do you have yours on here to look at? If not, could I get a picture? Thanks, from one, X Hockey player to a Hockey fan.
Deadbolt. Have a look at this Youtube video: http://youtu.be/sN5Cbt5UoXI
It looks exactly like mine.
I don't know where it originally came from. My guess is that it was on display in one of the local photo stores (FYI I'm not from the US, I'm Swedish). Mine is a salvage from an old storage building that was about to be torn down.
1,600 bucks is amazing...maybe I'll put it up on eBay and see what happens ;-)
Off topic: X Hockey player, cool! Majors or minors?
Not gong sell mine, I love that crazy looking thing! It does start a lot of small talk! Thanks for the video link! It was cool to see it!
Really cool. Bid for one of these once and didn't win it.
Hi Deadbolt, I have one very similar. Mine is a 124. I just happen to stumble upon your post. And it works !
