I wonder why people call these a "covered box" considering it is circular and not box-like. This is a 1920's Kralik piece with maroon confetti at the base and large murrines applied to the upper half. The piece is acid treated to create the iridescence. These are made in two pieces (separately) so don't be surprised if the lid doesn't quite fit.
