My grandmother's art deco tea set by Lennox with silver overlay in a iconic art deco design by Mausser Mfg Co. This set dates to somewhere between the late 19th century and the early part of the 20th century as Mausser was absorbed by the Mt Vernon Silversmiths in 1903, and Lennox bought out his partner Coxon and became Lenox in 1895. The set has my grandmother's monogram "DNC" on each piece - there is a monogram plate on one side of each piece. The porcelain is the finest cream coloured baleek-like porcelain for which early Lenox was known. The bottom of each piece bears the early logo of Lennox as well as the unicorn mark for Mausser. This is something that has been loved by 3 generations of women in my family. This must have been an item from my grandmother's trousseau.
