I JUST FOUND A NEW PIECE FOR MY COLLECTION! THIS STANDARD OIL PRODUCTS DOUBLE SIDED PORCELAIN SIGN! THIS SIGN WEIGHS 48LBS AND MEASURES 5' 2" WIDE X 3' 2" TALL!! I THINK THIS SIGN IS FROM THE 30'S BUT IM NOT EXACTLY SURE SO IF SOMEONE THAT SEE'S THIS KNOWS MORE ABOUT IT PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I HAVE HERE!! THANKS EVERYONE, DON
HELLO, I JUST FOUND A NEW PIECE TO AD TO MY COLLECTION. I KNOW WHAT I HAVE IS A VERY RARE SIGN BUT IM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE EXACT YR IT COULD OF BEEN MADE IN AND REALLY WHAT IS IT WORTH. I HAVE SEEN MUCH SMALLER STANDARD OIL PRODUCTS SIGNS ON EBAY AND THEY WERE SELLING FOR SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS SIGN I HAVE IS ONE OF THERE 1ST OR 2ND SIGNS THEY MADE ONCE THEY STOPPED MAKING THEM OUT OF WOOD I GUESS THE WOOD SIGNS WERE THE CROWN STYLE SIGNS. THIS SIGN MEASURES 5' 2" WIDE X 3' 2" TALL AND WEIGHTS 48-49 LBS!!! IF ANYONE CAN HELP THAT WOULD BE GREAT!! It's a odd shape for a sign almost like it went on a truck or something?
It's very plain and only 2 colors so it's not a great sign even if it is rare, tho I doubt it is.
