Hi.. this is a clock that was left to her by her parents. There wasn't any information with it or story of where it came from. I'm hoping someone will have seen something like this and would have some information or could tell me a place to start looking. This has sat on her coffee table for the last 50 years or so and I'd like togive her the scoop If I can.
The only information I can offer is the dial appears to have the Ansonia Clock Co. trademark and marked 8-day. The Ansonia Clock Co. began in 1850 in Ansonia, Conn.
Someone more knowledgeable on clocks will be along to identify the statue clock. I was not able to match it with any images in the books I have.
Dave
Thanks for the info.. i really appreciate it.
Really nice. Bruce99 will be along, maybe he can help.
As Dave has already stated, it appears to be an Ansonia "Novelty Clock". I can't find the model, but it is similar to a number of different clocks from roughly around circa 1900.
Thanks so much for taking a look. Ill let her know everyone's thoughts on it. Have a wonderful day and happy collecting ;-)
