Curio type Cabinet, antique. Used to be in my grandmothers dining room

I have no idea if this is a curio cabinet or if this is some kind of serving or writing area. It has this pull out drawer and a door on front that opens up with a shelf. Any idea about this piece or do you have one? Just wondering how to classify this accurately.
