My mother got this about 30 years ago, and just gave it to me for Mother's day this year. It is a choker/breastplate and made of hair pipe, deerskin leather, beads, buttons, metal, animal teeth and natural sinew. It is about 24 inches long and very heavy. I have admired it for a long time and now it resides in my home. The leather has dried but it is still beautiful. She told me that the man who made it was Lakota Sioux. All I remember about him is that he was a very nice person, as was his wife.

Thanks. This is not my area of expertise, I collect baskets. But I did talk to my mom some more and she said it was closer to 30 years ago which would put it in the early 80's. I have changed the info to reflect that. I appreciate the "love" :)
