This is a copy of Murano Clowns. Newly made you can find them at Discount stores or Dollar stores. Dave
listed on ebay under (Murano Red Pepper Style Glass Clown Figurine) how can you tell mine is a reproduction the one there has the same cobalt blue hat and feet
Murano Red Pepper Style Glass Clown Figurine. This vibrantly red glass color seems to look like a red pepper. The clown stands at about 7 inches in height and has a red body with bright yellow hair and green accents around its neck. No apparent chips, cracks, or crazing. Overall, this would be a great piece to add to any collection!! We are offering this item at our fair Erie Street Antiques price of $69.00
Murano is all hand done. That one is new as well. I have collected Murano for 20 yrs. I have bought and sold hundreds of piece. The quality is just not there for it to be Murano. I have 6 clowns myself all from the 50's. Heres a page of Murano clowns, it just takes getting use to the look, style and quality of glass. Murano Glass is made from the Purest Sand. Dave
