I really need to start wearing my glasses. I didn't even notice the damage to this lamp until I got it home. Broken off at the pedestal and glued ! Oh well for the few dollars it cost on half price day at "VOA" I can live with it. I would have bought it anyway. It doesn't show too much unless you look close. It's Italian majolica with little cherubs playing instruments all around the urn. It's not very big only 21". Must be a night stand or vanity lamp.It seems quite old judging by the plug. The mark on the bottom says 4014 Ardalt Italy . Couldn't find out too much about it other than it was made in Italy. Now, where do I put it !...lol -Mike-

Ardalt of New York, an importer I think.
Ardalt Inc. Corp. 95, Madison Avenue, New York. United States.
Importer of items made in Italy, Japan and other countries.
Antonio Zen is perhaps the factory in Nove (Bassano) north west of Venice where this lamp was done. A famous factory in its prime in the 1880's on. These wares kept the factory alive and are collected widely today. Factory is still in operation, I think.

I found a different shade for this lamp today. I thought it needed to be a little smaller and a different shape. It's a silk "bell" shade I found at Goodwill this morning. Looks much better than that pleated yellow thing.
