Heres another sign I got recently not really sure if its one sign or two. take alook at the pictures it looks like its two signs glued together, they started to peel apart at the top (seen in pic 3), but still stuck together really good in the middle (seen in pic 4). It appears the two signs have been together for some time (they have same damage in same spots) I was wondering if i should try to peel them apart? If so any ideas on how to do it without further damaging signs? I know their both in poor condition but only spent 30$ on pair, because I really like the spriteboy sign. Very hard to find original spriteboy signs this one is even Canadian, the other sign I think is desirable image too. Its listed in pets 12th edition pg 126 for 400$. Anyways please let me know what you guys think should I keep the signs together or try to separate them?

Thanks Perry, I was also wondering if the spriteboy sign is in the 11th or 12th edition? I have tried finding it a couple times but could only find the other sign not the spriteboy sign. just curious of what the spriteboy sign would have been worth if I found it in mint condition.

Thanks: mustangtony, fifties50s, Trey, sanhardin, & Signaholic again.

The cardboards from that period were two sided. You most often see the red side, but not the sprite boy side. Very handsome cardboard.

Thanks Blaine, im glad someone took a min to talk about my sign instead of those darn national geo ads, but i'm almost 100% sure its two signs stuck together. I know there is two sided signs, but this sign is twice as thick than your average cardboard coke sign (hard to tell in pics). I have no idea how to peel them apart without further damaging sign so have not touched the sign (have not even cleaned it yet). I guess my question now is should i even try to take the two signs apart? Or should I get some more glue and seal them back together? I would like to have them apart for two reasons: It looks like they are truly two signs and I wanna display them both at same time :)

Thanks fifties really appreciate your info, maybe I can kill two birds with one stone, by taking the signs to the frame shop they can tell me if they can be separated and frame them at the same time!

Both cardboards are 1949. So I still think they are together. I will do some more research and get back with you. Value in that condition is about 200 bucks, so you didi good. Dont waste your time with a frame store. I have found that unless they are trained in conservation, they know nothing. They are only good for framing grandma's needlepoint and graduation pictures!

Thanks for your info Blaine always glad to hear from you. I know Pets book says the red sign is from 1949, but both of mine are dated 1950 maybe they separated the two images in 1950? Anyways very very happy to hear how I did on this pick, Ill be enjoying these for years, just wish I could enjoy them both at the same time.

Alright so never went to frame store, but did manage to get a very nice frame for this cardboard sign. Looks like an original, but is very good repo. frame, that Bill was nice enough to sell/trade me. I took this sign with me to coca cola yard sale, ask several coke collectors if they thought this was one or two signs, and no one was 100% sure. I have decided to just enjoy it as one double sided sign, instead of taking the risk and damaging them any more. The sign looks pretty good now that its frame, my only problem now is finding a place to hang it.
