This small rifle round casing has been turned into a vase or goblet and is sized for a doll house.
The casing is interesting in that it carries Turkish manufacture marks on the base. It is dated "1325", which would translate to 1907 making this (most likely) a product of WW1.

Hey scott, really like this one. I used to know most rim stampings, but this one had me stumped so was glad you knew. Is the ginger-bread around the table hand filed or some stamping wrapped around? Most sets like this get separated along the way. How did you possibly find one still intact? Don't tell me you're making them in your shop. You can't be that bored. LOL
I wish that I had the skill to make a miniature!
I posted the table-- which may help with the edge trim. I'll take a look at it again, but I am pretty sure it came off of something else.

I think it probably did also. I've made miniatures of things when I had the time but would probably find a substitute when doing a wrap-around piece that can be found easily & cheaply. Can you imagine how bored those soldiers in the trenches would get!! "Cabin fever" may have been known as "Trench fever" then. I still find it hard, if not impossible, to imagine yrs in wet trenches only to go out & be mowed down periodically. Imagine a lot cracked-up. The 1's who had the skill to do trench art were probably the lucky ones.
Thanks for looking pw and walks.
