Time, I thought, to share a little obscure reference material.
These ‘chromolithographs’ show displays from the 1862 World’s fair in London. Sometimes it’s just nice to date pieces.
1. Schaffgotsch, to me an unknown Silesian glass maker, (oddly must have been new to the printer too as they classified it as Russian (at the time Silesia was part of Prussia)
2. Cristalerie De Pantin the great Paris glass maker (later to become Monot & Stumpf) -and other pieces
And two London companies
3. Phillips
4. Dobson & Pearce
If I get time there are many more of these!
Enjoy
Hi Mike you might know Schaffgotsch as Josephinenhütte .
A little interesting history can be seen here :-

Oh well done! Ozmarty!
I'd missed that
Nice find Mike! If you find any for Harrach, can you forward me images :)
There's a 'pair' of beauties - but there are very small pictures of them in the Harrach book -when I get to photograph the others I'll send you a copy of the Harrach one and the one Harrach seems to claim?!
Very interesting..I have the Schaffgotsch vase, but mine is red and is a brass stand. Most of the guilding is long cleaned off.
