"The Hyde Park" no. 1900 Made in USA. Apparently there were many shapes and colors of these ashtrays made in the 50's with removable metal ( copper or brass? ) monograms. This one has a "CA" in the middle. Wonder if it belonged to someone famous ? Sadly it has two small nicks in the edge. I had looked at it before but today it was "green" sticker half price day, so I figured I'd buy it. -Mike-

Hi, sorry, that is not Roseville. The Hyde Park company in Massachusetts, I researched, made the largest number of bronzed baby shoes in the 40’s. They made a number of metal items. But, I have seen a letter from a vice president of the company that said it contracted with 3 different companies to make these ashtrays from them. I remember one was Haeger and another was Coors (the pottery company). The 3’rd was not Roseville. There are quite a number of these usually, not always, numbered in 5’s. 1905, 1910, 1915, 1920 etc. The center usually had a gothic letter on it. But many times had small statues or company symbols as requested.
