This mask is made from Cowrie Shells, tusks and bone and Cassowary feathers on Carved timber. Almost 2 foot. It was collected from West Papua approx 60's but I suspect its oldler than that and I am certain this is not a tourist piece. I would love any help on identifying its age and Value. I suspect its very valuable as a collector almost fell over when I showed him and begged me to call him if I ever want to sell (which I dont). I know a bit about oceanic masks but am far from an expert so all help would be appreciated. I have several museum quality masks and pieces I will upload in time including ancient bone daggers etc so I would love any kind people sharing their advanced knowledge. Thanks for reading.
