    Hello All!

I have found this beautiful piece and understand it is some type of necklace worn in the late 1800's to early 1900's. Told it was usually worn as a wedding or formal necklace. I am trying to find the identification of type of necklace it may be. The beads are not real pearl, but instead are painted glass beads. The back of the necklace is made of satin. The thread? used appears to be sterling silver. There is not any type of fastener. Any help in identifying what this gorgeous piece is would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks so much in advance!

Its a pearl collar. I think it might date from the first half of th 20th century. I posted a few similar collars earlier. Mine are a bit newer though. People wear them again and they are very fashionable for the hipsters. I hope this helps
