chinese lacquered wood Tu Di Gong statue

hi cw...just wanted to share my newest find...this is Tu Di Gong...he is a protector of land, house and prosperity....it took me all weekend to find out who he is...he is in very good condition for his age with only a few minor dings and dents...his beard is made of real hair...he is supposed to be holding a staff in the hand that is empty and in the other hand he is holding a 3 tiered golden ingot...I am very happy to have found him and he is placed high in my living room, over looking my small apartment...lets hope he really does provide protection and prosperity...he is in remarkable shape and I love his golden robe with crane emblems...I love the chair he sits upon the most...its a carved dragon holding a pearl for each arm...really, really love that! thank you for looking and I welcome any comments or info regarding my Tu Di Gong wooden statue...love this site!
