I recently found this large (almost 11" high) beautiful, very heavy pitcher at my local Goodwill. Something about it made me think of the Blenko double spouted pitcher that I used to have. The spout and the pontil look right so I bought it and have been trying to find a match for it online, with no luck.
I am not a Blenko collector but in researching it, here is what I think it might be: A Honey colored pitcher from Wayne Husted's 1962 textured line. The catalog for that year is not available at the Blenko site and I don't have one. So, I need help. Is there anyone who has that catalog or who is a Blenko expert willing to let me know what they think?
Thank you for the loves! I thought it was really a beauty when I found. I'm still hope someone who KNOWS their Blenko can set me straight. I'd love to know whether my identification is right or if it is just a piece done by another company that resembles the Husted textured line. Go ahead and tell me, I can take it!! LOL!
Thanks for posting this. I like the color. I have a blue double spouted carafe that is the same texture although it is a different color. Like you, I think it may be Blenko, but have been unable to say so definitively.
Just an update -- this ended up being Blenko designed by Joel Myers. I found in in the 1967 catalog, listed as number 6720.
Jolly good!
@beckessa if you can point me in the direction of the Blenko catalog you found, I would love to see it. Thanks!!
That catalog is included in a hardback book I bought: "Blenko Glass 1962-1971 Catalogs", Leslie Pina.
This book has photographs of the pages from each of the catalogs (62-71). I think I purchased it from Barnes & Noble but most likely, you'll be able to find it on eBay, Amazon, etc. Hope that helps!
