coke.trevo…
(120 items)
I just got this thermometer at a local auction last night, and I think i got a pretty good deal on it. The other two thermometers I have are marked Roberson Made in the USA, this one is marked Made in the USA R-5-55 (thanks EJW-54) . Its the flat version thermometer 17"x 5" in very good condition still works. Very happy to have this thermometer in my collection let me know what you guys think of it. I look forward to your guys comments thanks in advance.
Great havin them all hangin together like that, so you can see the way they changed over the years.
Looks to be the real deal Trev. Nice snag. Real fine display.
Looks real to me. Bring it to the sale on Sunday so I can have a better look.
Bring you cardboard too.
Thanks Dave, and Perry!
Thanks: Cocacola22, blunderbuss2, and Signaholic again.
Thanks Bill! Sorry just saw your comment now, I'll bring thermometer to the Woodstock? show this Sunday. Also when you said bring my cardboard were you referring to my two sided cardboard sign that i recently posted? Would like to bring that sign and show it to you in person and finally figure out if its two signs or one double sided sign.
Thanks: Designer, Trey, and fifties50s.
Looks good to me too Trev, darn work got in the way, or I would have been there too! Good buy!
Thanks Bernie, you didnt miss any coke collectibles at that auction besides this therometer the only other coke items there was a 1980's lighter and a framed national geo ad. It was mainly furniture its the reason i went. My parents wanted to buy some furniture and I was lucky enough to be their mover lol. It sounds like it worked out pretty good for me tho, my parents bought me this thermometer for helping them move and clean their "new" furniture. Glad to hear everyone thinks its original thanks for all your comments.
Trevor, I meant for you to bring it to the Ontario Chapter Coca-Cola sale which is this Sunday as well. Are you coming?
Hi coke.trevor.cola, if it's 1950's look under the bottom hole in the dark green area and the date is there very small and hard to see, check out mine I posted last year and you'll see what I mean. Hope this helps.
OMG! Thanks EJW-54! That date is very very small I didnt even see it had to hold it under good lighting. I can see it now I even manage to take a picture of it (which was a pain). Thanks again EJW-54 Mystery Solved!
Sure Thing coke.trevor.cola, so glad you got a 1955 one, great deal! I looked mine up and man did I get a deal! $36 !
Wow 36$ is a steal! You got an advantage tho, these are made in the US not as common in Canada, so your more likely to come across a deal like that.
