When I saw this I immediately thought "Hmm... this kind of has a Gauguin look to it." so I bought it. Number 3 from yesterday's art haul. I found a couple of his paintings on Ebay being sold as estate sale finds selling for a few hundred dollars. They said the original owners bought them from an art gallery in Marathon, Florida. I noticed both frames were painted white. Mine was painted a ghastly brown and chips in the frame showed white underneath. So I removed the painting an restored the frame to it's original white. What an improvement !! Really makes the colors shine ! When I had it out of the frame I noticed # 20 written in pencil on the side of the stretcher. Another relative unknown saved from oblivion. -Mike-
