This bible was sent to my grandmother by my grandfather while he was on active service in the Middle East during WWII for the Royal Australian Army in 1941. My Grandmother then passed it on to my father, who then passed it on to me.
It is 145mm tall x 100mm wide x 40mm deep and is leather bound with gold embossing and a metal inlay/engraving on the front depicting David's Tower in Jerusalem. The engraving is more like a three dimensional image.
It was printed by the British and Foreign Bible Society, 146 Queen Victoria Street, London. I am unsure how old it actually is, but it is still in very good condition.
I have been unable to find any information on this beautiful bible, so I'm hoping that someone may be able to point me in the right direction so that I can get it valued.
<edit> to clarify, I want to get it valued for insurance purposed. I have no intention of selling this treasured family heirloom.
Priceless ! A treasure to keep and pass on in family. I love it and welcome to CW :-)
