Went to an estate sale this morning in rainy New Jersey. Certainly nothing to write home about. I found this dish at an affordable price. It is nice, in a story board detail type of fashion. Nothing to really brag about. I prefer symmetrical designs, but this is nice. I cannot find the marking anywhere online. Hopefully someone will recognize this. It does appear to be hand painted or maybe just hand decorated. I would guess this is from the early to mid 1900's? Probably made for the US or Europe? I wonder if it has any value? Thanks!!!
I have only one thing to say very lucky indeed. Anything I have seen on any show have always praised this style.
Hey Zowie thanks for the comment! There were a few other matching pieces. I never had the chance to go back and get them. This was the largest dish. I am not sure...
thanks undreal, phil, nldionne, agram, zowie and moonstone.
Hi BHock45!...sorry cant help but nice dish!...:-)
Thanks inky!!!!!
any tips on how to clean this? It is dirty
I would think just a soft cloth and warm soapy water, it's enamelled isn't it?..:-)
Yes, but the enamel has some wear. I will have to be careful. Thanks!!!
Very interesting design. Too bad about the other pieces. Don't feel bad that happens to me too. There will be other great buys. That's the fun of this hobby ! :)
