Bought this at auction yesterday! I had left a comment on Nativejewelerylovers post with a newly found 'bargain' Loetz at auction, with the wish of finding myself one at auction. I found this, I did think 'maybe' did not know for sure but was hoping!! But alas with a bit of checking think now Kralik or Rindskopf but not disappointed as it is a lovely thing. It was only £11.00 along with another vase which I will post shortly. Measuring almost 9" tall it certainly has a presence in amongst my other vases! But I am getting closer and upgrading a little at a time!
Anyone know of a date for this one?
I can't help you. Either of those guesses sound good but I am guessing there are probably other companies that did this sort of thing that we're not aware of at this point, Like the silberbands and Heckert (another possibility imho)
In Short, I really don't know But I'd pay 11 pounds for this all day long. It's really gorgeous.
Thanks so much GSO!! Actually got two vases for the £11.00
Thank you manddmoir, MacArt, AmberRose, Moonstonelover21, LeahGoodwin, NativeJewelerylovers, dasullywon, nldionne, czechman, Greatsnowyowl for the Loves - Very Pleased!!
Hello Justanovice!..I think this is just as stunning I think you at getting closer and closer to you’re Loetz ….I can feel it in my water!....:-)))
That is a very English saying inky!!:)
Thanks again everyone for all the more loves since the last lot!!!:)
this is a typical Kralik decor quite often found on many different Kralik shapes. Your Vase seems to be a bit cut down too much, as otherwise you would observe, that Kralik tried to copy the well known Loetz Medici decor by fading out the papilon into stripes in the direction of the mouth
kairomalte, thank you for your comments!:) When would this vase have been cut down too much, at manufacture or later by someone else? Thanks again!!
Usually you can clearly see the fading of the papilon decor into stripes into the direction of the mouth, in your case this is more difficult to see, but it is still there and I don't know if the vase was cut down at all or by whom what so ever
Have to love it again..:-))
Thank you inky!!!!:)
