I thought I had taken more of the Lion. I have about 25 of these Little Lions, (about 3.5 x 4.5), which are amazingly similar to the Shih Tzu that lives with me. They say that Shih Tzu means"Beautiful Lady" in Chinese, but the Tibetans also claim the Shih Tzu and say the Term means, "LION DOG". If you have a Shih Tzu, compare with the Lion photo here, you will be amazed at how similar they are!!! Once again, circa 1899, on the larger paintings is written, "TONG TAI, FUH KING STREET, FATSHAN, CANTON, CHINA". ok I NEED TO CHECK AND POST THE ONES I HAVEN'T PHOTOGRAPHED YET, AND AS MUCH AS I HATE TO, MUST REMOVE ONE TO GET THE "TONG TAI etc." stamp photographed. Every time you touch or move or touch these paintings, tiny chips of tempura chip, imperceptible, once they are in the right frame, though they are incredibly resilient to age, once properly framed they should never touch human hands moisture air or movement, because they are so GORGEOUS, we want them to last 200 years more, at least!! Thanks again to the awesome THINK TANK HERE AT CW, SINCERELY GRATEFUL, MICHELLE
