This clock was bought before World War 2 second hand. It is metal, the face is metal with Roman numerals. It has chimed. The next level is marble type material with metal attached by square nuts on thread. Then there are is a layer maybe made of plaster but has fabric on it. The bottom that holds the glass is wooden and has some not totally readable writing on it, along with something that has been stamped into the wood. Any information about this clock would be wonderful. Thanks

There appears to be a serial number behind the cup bell. Perhaps there is a maker's mark there too. Could you remove the cup bell and post a photo of that part of the movement plate? Don't know if it will help much but it can't hurt. :)

We can try that next time we are where the clock is. Thanks for the idea
