This is a marriage of 'White' sewing machine top & four antique legs from a drop leaf table. There are three pull out drawers on each side. And four beautiful tapered & reeded mahogany legs. The legs were cut down to an equal length and the casters removed. The complete top section is made of oak with some beautiful cross grain. The drawers are bent to a nice shape.
I added a new front veneer panel with antique brass handle.
The inside is completely new.with veneer partitions & panels. Along with a drop leaf writing surface with brass stays.
I added a recessed partioned compartment under the original lid. All the original parts were stripped of the old varnish, which was a long, messy job. I may get round to adding light inside some day.
I added a beautiful book matched veener to the top lid.
What a great idea! Practical & your work looks really good. I'm awarding you a gold star.
Very cool! You are good...
