These three specimens are good examples of effective advertising. The glass one is from a restaurant while, the two ceramic ones are from Syracuse China of Syracuse, NY and Shenango China, of New Castle, PA.
The Shenango tray displays their backstamp of that era (1950's?) and the Syracuse one is in the shape of its Trend line of dinnerware.
Sadly, Shenango became defunct in the 90s?, and Syracuse sent its ovens and other equipment to China a few years ago.
These are colorful relics of when smoking was in vogue. I keep most of mine on display, while some have found other uses, such as candy dishes, coin holders, paper clip receptacles etc
