I found this redware jug today. For under a dollar I scooped it up. It has some signs of age, but I wouldn't jump to any conclusions. I am trying to learn something about redware like this, so I will consider this "experimental". Definite signs of use on the handle, looks like the person(s) using it most were right handed. There is a alligatoring??? under the lip/rim. There are small inclusions, white stones throughout. I am not sure if this is a lead glaze but it might be, it was apparently dipped upside down? Any ideas???? Thanks!
